Artist Bio

As a child I would spin in one place with my arms extended as wide as they could go.  When I stopped, dizzy and disoreiented, I would lose my balance and fall down to the ground, trying to hold in my lunch. Life can be like that.  If you don't slow down, to see the beauty of the horizon, it can all look like a dizzy blur.

From an Executive Assistant to a  Bar Manager, in a half dozen different industries, I fould that no matter what I did for work, I couldn't wait to get into the "supply room" and make stuff, paint stuff and even sometimes break stuff.  I was like an annoying adhd little boy in class who couldn't wait for recess.

I was working as a Sales Person for an Award and Sign Company at the time, spending very little time with my son, and way too much time in the production department, trying to make a sign "pop" when someone said to me "why are you in sales?  You should be out PAINTING THE GLOBE."

As simple as that... I had my "AHA" moment.

Of course that all sounds "simple".  Yet there is no pair of ruby red slippers waiting to be occupied by my feet.  Where and how does one do such a thing? Circumstance after circumstance lead me down a path that ultimately forced me to chase my dream.

It wasn't until a good 10 years later I finally cast caution to the wind and said to my partner, my son and myself..."It's all or nothing.  Look out world, here I come and I've got PAINT."

From storefront windows at Christmas,  osterich eggs at Easter, the cheerleading squad and every neighborhood kiddo I could recruit, was born Paint the Globe.

Thank you for helping me live my best version of me and placing my dream within my reach.

Herman Melville
